In Step With Patrick H. Lenderman
Patrick H. Lenderman
Vice President, Branch Manager - Paragould & Corning
Farm Credit Midsouth’s Patrick H. Lenderman wears a lot of hats as he juggles the responsibilities that come with being vice president and branch manager of both the Corning and Paragould branches. So, it really should come as no surprise to find out he also works on one of his passions on the side as well. An avid fisherman and hunter, Patrick co-founded Timber Mallard Duck Calls with his father, the late Hulen Lenderman in 1995, a custom call company specializing in acrylic and wooden duck calls.
A graduate of Ridgecrest High School, Patrick knew he’d combine a lifelong love of agriculture with his business acumen. He earned a degree in Ag Finance at Arkansas State University and worked in local commercial banks for a time. About 15 years ago, he accepted a position as a Senior Loan Officer with Farm Credit Midsouth and the rest is, as they say, history.
In 2012, Patrick was promoted to manager of the Corning branch and six years later, added the Paragould branch to his management duties. He estimates he is able to divide his time equally between the two, focusing where his attention is most needed at a given time.
Patrick’s 15 years with the Association is certainly a mark to be celebrated, but there is a track record of similar longevity among many of his Farm Credit colleagues. When asked for his thoughts on that, Patrick pointed to fact that almost all employees have a connection to, or love for, farming.
“Quite a few of them grew up in and around agriculture,” he notes. “It’s definitely a niche market.”
When asked for his thoughts on the changes he’s experienced over the course of his tenure with Farm Credit, Patrick points to advances in technology on the farm, the importance of marketing, and input costs for the farmer on the front end. Patrick and his family reside in Paragould, a community he loves.
